Water seeping through road surface Reported anonymously at 13:06, Mon 2 July 2018 A similar report has been marked “fixed” very quickly. I will assume that this was done in honest error as it is NOT fixed, and I have reported again, this time with photographs taken at midday on 2nd July 2018. Whether the underlying cause should be fixed by BANES or the relevant water authority (or another party) is not the issue. What IS at issue is that water has been streaming from the source for long enough for green algae and other vegetation to grow (see photographs). This may or may not be a Health Hazard. It most certainly does need fixing or it will only get worse, and break up the road surface even more. What is also of concern is what may be happening out of sight, below the road surface. Many hundreds of gallons of water (clean, grey, or sewerage) will undoubtedly have an effect on the road structure, nearby walls, and property. I trust that the same mistake of marking this as “fixed” will not be made again, and that the appropriate authority will be notified and will address the root cause of this continuous surface water.
