I spoke to the site manger who told me the council were happy with this. he said the alternative was to shut the footpath for 80 weeks. i said he should move his hoarding back to the width of the footpath or extend the temporary pedestrian protection to come past this light. i also said in my opinion the protection should be concrete and bolted together as the current plastic protection which isnt even filled with water affords no protection. the tarmac step up currently laid is blocking water running to the nearest gully. if the project is for this duration then this is the minimum we can expect a contractor to do. whilst looking into this look at the concrete lorries reversed across the path by the green park tarvern. no traffic management and children walking around the front of the lorry into oncoming traffic. who from the council is signing off the construction management plan???
