A private car park has been extended into Chapel Road and Fosseway Reported anonymously at 11:19, Fri 18 October 2019 The car park of the Lamb Inn has been extended into without planning consent having been sought. This has made the roads more dangerous for the following reasons. This section of Chapel Road is now one-way having been a two-way passing point for decades. The section of Fosse way is now very narrow meaning that vehicles cannot pass. No right turn is possible from Chapel Road and no left turn is possible from Fosse Way (unless vehicles drive over the kerb and onto the private car park and that assumes that it is unoccupied). The junction is more dangerous now that cars are regularly parked up to the edge of the expanded car park as well as a van being parked every day right at the junction. The highways in Chapel Road and Fosseway should be restored to their dimensions prior to this unapproved development.
