Speed Limit Warning Signs Obscured A367 Southbound Reported by David Orme at 10:36, Mon 10 August 2020 The recent (ie latest) accident on the A367 at Dunkerton created the latest "twitterstorm" amongst residents about road safety. Part of the problem, which may have been a contributory factor to the recent accident, is that the 300-100m 40mph warnings on the southbound carriageway approaching Dunkerton are either obscured or have been hit and have been turned round on their poles. The photos show the best view - ie not that seen by drivers. Additionally, the verge approaching the turn-off the A367 opposite the northbound layby is obscuring the turn, which means that drivers slowing down to leave the carriageway are, as far as drivers behind them are concerned, behaving erratically and attract angry horn signals (and risk a rear end shunt).
