Missing Benches on public footpath

Reported anonymously at 18:33, Sat 21 November 2020

I have reported this issue (see below reference) before and I received this report which stated the matter is closed, with no reason provided ! I now have attached new photos taken TODAY. Can you see that old gentleman there standing over a private fence overlooking the view ? Now, that missing bench was taken out ?? WHY???? That bench was used by many people and families. That bench was donated by a deceased estate (with name of deceased and a reason why he/ she loved to sit there). IT IS DISGRACEFUL that the council is FAILING its responsibilities. Whilst taking the photo (with the man standing), I notice there is another missing bench (near to the wooden gate) ! SO TWO WOODEN BENCHES HAVE BEEN REMOVED !!! And the council took nearly 6 months to report that the matter is closed ! And nothing was done about the reported missing bench... (now, I can see it is TWO missing benches). ABSOLUTELY DISAGRACEFUL !! I will report this to higher authorities and if this is unsatisfactory, I will make this issue, public via social media so that other people can come and see for themselves what is going on (or NOT) with B&NES who are hiding something. '''Wooden bench missing Reported in the Bus stop or shelter issue category anonymously at 07:11, Saturday 20 June 2020 Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2164446. Wooden bench which was privately donated, has been removed from this beautiful site overlooking Bathampton. There is only a cement or stone patch where this bench situated. The entrance Public FootPath sign is also hidden amongst overgrown trees. This is an important walk route to avoid the busy London Road and Bailbrook Lane leading to Northend, Batheaston and village beyond.
