Flooding on streets and pavements

Reported anonymously at 13:49, Wed 8 December 2021

I have added a few photos showing where the council appear to be failing to ensure our main roads are properly draining water after every moderate rain shower Most of these locations can cause great inconvenience to pedestrians when vehicles, while driving through flooded sections of highway, create sufficient spray across adjacent pavements to completely soak the clothes of anyone trying to walk by One section of road prone to flooding for over 15 years now (near Riverside Business Park) is next to a bus stop where water gets sprayed right across the pavement and soaks the office buildings behind Some included locations show the entire width of pavement is completely under water so deep that pedestrians need to wear waterproof shoes to navigate across As the majority of these flooding locations are regularly under water after moderate rain I feel it is time the council properly fixed these issues Please have your highways inspectors to visit these locations on foot after moderate rain to experience the effects of letting such surface water negatively impact pedestrians (who are now encouraged to walk instead of travel by car)
