Daily parking on double yellow lines Reported anonymously at 09:47, Friday 21 January 2022 The issue is ongoing and occurs daily in the week, either side of school drop off and pick up. I have photographic evidence and taken details of Vehicle registrations, which are redacted above. This happens on Charlton Park, and at the Park Road entrance where I have seen cars park on the Zig Zag Lines. B&NES Highways Safety Team/ School Travel Coordinator should make contact with the school, and enforcement officers should make themselves present. I do not necessarily want the offenders to be penalised, but warned off doing this. The lines are there on a dangerous bend, and in other locations to allow visibility at crossing points for safe routes to school and other pedestrian routes. The ZigZag school lines are for safety at entrance to schools and are enforceable by police. I am aware that PCSOs recently attended Saltford Primary School to enforce or warn offenders. A similar approach could help here, say a few visits over a week, with some publicity. Drivers would soon get the message.
