Sheets of laminated wood from boat littering riverbank Reported anonymously at 10:37, Tue 25 January 2022 The narrow boat that has been moored (abandoned?) since October 2020 at the west end of Mead Lane below Spion Kop is shedding its roof parts, presumably as a result of winter storms, and some are on the riverbank as can be seen from the attached photograph. If the river level rises after a period of heavy rain these could end up in the river causing a hazard to small boat users and wildlife. The waste also causes an eye sore at this local beauty spot.
