Obstructed pavement on Durley Hill Reported by Edmund Cannon at 08:38, Fri 19 August 2022 Durley Hill between the fire station and Kew Cottage, about 150 metres of pavement. There is a retaining wall, which has fallen down in places; even where it has not fallen down, earth has fallen over it. This has now been overgrown by vegetation, so the pavement (fairly narrow anyway) is halved in width. I womble here regularly and when passing another pedestrian someone must stand in the road or climb into the plants. There is no cycle path, so cyclists sometimes use the pavement. Visibility is poor for cars coming from Hicks Gate due to the curve and brow of hill, there is a 40mph speed limit, frequently exceeded, so this is quite dangerous.
