Collapsed drain - Ham Lane, Bishop Sutton, BS39 5TZ - W3W: ///digits.windpipe.cloth
Reported via desktop in the Manhole & drain cover damage category anonymously at 17:31, Wednesday 2 September 2026
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 10040056.
There is a large (>30cm) open hole in the verge, that I assume is a collapsed drain linked to the nearby roadside drain that appears to run along the verge parallel to the road. It has been there for at least 5 months. The hole is approx 1m deep so an obvious danger to people, horses and dogs stepping off the road to avoid passing cars on the narrow road.
Exact location is W3W: ///digits.windpipe.cloth. This is just past 'Meadow View' and approx 6m further down the road than the roadside drain on the RHS of the road.
