Grass area being damaged by refuse lorries
Reported in the Roads/highways category by Westfield Parish Council at 16:36, Tue 19 September 2017
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 1110991.
The grass kerb is constantly chewed up by lorries driving over it, this not only ruins the grass it also means that mud is then dragged across the road. Is there something that could be done to either move the kerb back or discourage lorries from driving over it, please? Many thanks.

Hi Steve,
Many thanks for the remedial works done to the damaged kerb at Upper Court before Christmas. As you say it is likely to continue to be a problem and I wondered what the chances were of taking forward Paul Pearce’s suggestion of taking the kerb back closer to the fence line to widen the road?
Do you think this might be a possibility?
Many thanks, Emily

Paul,
This was made safe / filled in with T1 stone a week before Christmas. The refuse lorry`s are still backing over it due to residents parking here and it being a design issue.

Dear Paul and Steve,
The resident that raised this issue has asked if there is any progress. I think I remember from the email exchange below that you had some plans. Could you give me an update that I could pass onto the resident, please?
Many thanks, Emily
