Hedges blocking recycling wagons Lower Whitelands
Reported in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category by Bath and North East Somerset Council at 13:25, Fri 29 June 2018
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 1351924.
Good Afternoon
The [RECYCLING]crew have reported that the access in Lower Whitelands is getting increasingly difficult due to the hedges growing rapidly which is causing a problem for the manoeuvre for the crew to access the properties.
If the hedges can be cut back would be much appreciated to allow a safe working environment around this area. We will keep you up to date if the collections need to be postponed due to the reason above.

21st June this problem was reported and still nothing has been done. Our road is getting narrower due to the vegetation growing from the side of road, trees are scratching the side and top of our cars and the gully for the water to flow is completely blocked and the grass is now growing on the road. Also White markings were put down where the road needs repair which is most of the road and this also hasn’t been fixed and the white marks are now disappearing. This road is now dangerous to walk down and we are having to drive onto the neighbouring garden to come down and up this hill!!! What’s happening about this ???

I have now reported this problem twice and both times the report has been rejected with no explanation. Our road needs resurfacing. I would ask the Highways Department decision makers at BANES to try driving up and down this hill everyday. The surface has eroded and gets really slippery when wet. The edges of the road are gradually disappearing due to lack of maintenance. Please get an inspector out to look at this road urgently and explain why our request for this road to be resurfaced keeps getting rejected
