Road markings gone, Park Street
Reported in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 11:22, Mon 30 July 2018
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 1375861.
I was driving up Park Street in Bath the other day and neary crashed into a car that was coming along Park Place (from the Cavendish Road end). We both initially blamed each other until we realised that there were no road markings or give way signs on either road. I recommend that something is done about this before two vehicles collide or a cyclist is knocked off his bike.

There are a number of such junctions in the area with no markings. There aren’t accidents at them because drivers do as they should - not driving blind into areas they can’t see, but going forward carefully and slowly. It is of course also important that double yellow lines are observed correctly to preserve sightlines and more should be done to enforce this.
