Old Barbed Wire
Reported in the Bench & Public Space Damage category anonymously at 14:29, Wed 7 November 2018
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 1455684.
Last week my dog ran into old barbed wire on the Whitchurch Cycle path resulting in needing lots of stitches and a £800 vet bill.
Bristol City Council, and Signs at the start of the path state that this stretch of the path belongs to you. I have attached a picture showing access to the path and location of the barbed wire.
I thought the wire was only in one place but on returning to take pictures it appears that the wire runs the whole stretch of this path.
It is old wire that used to form a fence between the path and the trees but has been in a state of disrepair for many years.
It is also worth noting that there is now unofficial paths through the trees and children play here and the wire runs on these unofficial paths.
I am requesting that the wire along this whole stretch of path be either removed or the fence reinstated so it no longer provides a hazard to people, cats, dogs and local wildlife.
I would appreciate being kept up to date with the progress of this report including when the work has been carried out.
Kind regards
