Road Gritting Bathampton

Reported in the Grit bin issue category anonymously at 16:54, Monday 4 February 2019

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 1532127.

Banes, From: Mrs. J. Downs, Willow House, Kennet Park, Bathampton. The recent snowfall has reminded me that I keep meaning to contact you about gritting, and then forget. Kennet Park is a cul-de-sac of about 12 houses. The first part of the road is a steep downhill access levelling off alongside the canal. When there is snow this section becomes impossible to drive on, even a 4x4 has problems. All the houses except two are now occupied by over 70s. Appeals for gritting seem to fall on deaf ears. The nearest salt bin is halfway up Down Lane. A pile of salt/grit dumped at the junction of Kennet Park and Bathampton Lane would be a help – we could probably push the stuff down the hill. Any chance of some help when the next snow is due?
