Bridleway washed out and gravel on road, old lane, Nempnett Thrubwell

Reported in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 12:02, Wed 6 February 2019

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 1534215.

Following rain on Sunday night, gravel from surface of old lane bridleway has washed onto Nempnett Street. This could do with removing and used to repair access to Oxbarton where old lane joins Nempnett Street. A blocked(?) connection between field drains near point on map led to excessive water in old lane. This washed gravel into the two gullies (thankfully recently cleaned up), causing them to become blocked and then flow on down past Oxbarton onto Nempnett Street. I have cleared the two drains for now, but not investigated the apparent blocked connection between field drain and a direct feed to the pipe sunk in old lane.
