Blind corners at Alexandra road and Calton road

Reported in the Damaged road sign category anonymously at 12:48, Friday 15 March 2019

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 1573170.

When turning from Calton road and Alexandra road onto Lyncombe hill, and then coming back from town, the angle of the turn is so wide, it is impossible to see into the street before turning. This is very dangerous even at low speeds, as there often are pedestrians there.

This could simply be helped by placing convex mirrors on both corners.

  • Hi, is it my understanding, that it is the statement of the council, that it is better that drivers are driving blind, rather than slightly confused.

I would also like like the council to mail a check in the amount of 25 GBP in my name, which is the amount of damage which this corner caused on my personal vehicle to this date.
