Missing vertical railing

Reported in the Manhole & drain cover damage category anonymously at 10:37, Wed 20 March 2019

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 1578230.

Railings guard a vertical drop of around 20 feet. Vehicle damage and a missing railing leave a gap sufficient for a child to climb or fall through. The gap and damage is at the 90 degree obtuse corner in the railings on the south side of Portland Place close to or at the boundary between the street and the Ballance Street flats.

  • This was reported in May last year by another concerned local resident. Nothing has been done in nearly a year. report/ 1304846

  • More than one concerned resident has reported this and in nearly 2 years nothing has been done. If a child fell through and was injured this report would be evidence that the Council had been told.
