Broken bottles and othe waste in playground
Reported in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 15:20, Mon 15 April 2019
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 1603972.
There are broken glass bottles, debrides of electrical equipment, a bag of pet litter (as usual near the bin). This afternoon teenagers were playing with glass bottles, and waste debrides, throwing them on the walking path and in front of the play ground. Other times they have been smashing electrical items, climbing on trees and throwing the items from a branch. There are glasses on the grass, this is quite unsafe for young children and pets. The whole playground needs to be properly cleaned, and along the borders of the green area cleaned from litter and any other kind of rubbish (i.e. building debrides, electrical items..) This issue is going on from a long time (more than 6 months), and a few weeks ago the bin near the playing field was set on fire. Please could this be addressed, as if left in this state it will become of no use to families. It is such a nice green space, and it is a shame that it gets ruined or destroyed.

The park is again in a horrible state, please see picture. There is rubbish everywhere. During the last weekend we saw teenagers playing with bottles, smashing them on the pavement for fun "to see if they could smash them". In the evening a group of teenagers was in the park with motorbikes, and in the morning this was the state. One of my neighbour had rubbish thrown in her garden (pet waste).
There is a clear need of making the park usable for families, which us not currently. Cleaning the garden should not only be emptying the rubbish bin and cutting the grass. The rubbish all over the park should be removed, from plastic bottles and glass pieces to building debrids and plastic paddling pools!
