A cyclist in front of me crashed here this morning after slipping on the algae that has formed where the water has been running for months with no action. Fortunately he was not seriously injured but the council would have been liable as this has been repeatedly reported with no action. It is pretty simple to fix with a groundwater interceptor drain.

This is a serious problem, that has been unresolved for a year. If the temperature drops below zero the water flowing through the pavement will freeze, and the pavement will become a major accident risk. The water emerges through the pavement not far above some sheet metal covers, that are slippery when wet - a frequent occurrence due to the water flowing through the pavement. The problem is compounded by there being poor lighting of the area, due to overhanging vegetation, so that in the evening one cannot easily see the state of the pavement and take evasive action.
