Hazard from large broken branch

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 1629705.

Footpath north of Fielding bridge. A large branch has fractured and hanging vertically, over 6m long, which could drop at any time and cause serious injury to passerby. Needs to be removed ASAP please.

  • I should have added that it could easily be reached by children who could be tempted to swing from it with a nasty outcome. Please get cutters onto it. Steve

  • The council's Tree Team will remove the hanging limb and follow up with the landowner who is responsible for the tree. We have looked into this issue and found it is not the council's responsibility. Please let the organisation responsible know instead. The report is now closed, further comments may not be monitored.
