  • A neighbour was concerned about the danger to the public as B&NES HAD NOT attended in a timely way and has put weed killer on the plant. Your grass cutting team have been out either yesterday or today and cut around the offending plant and the sign we placed there to warn the public. I did telephone over a week after the initial report and was told, not too politely, that it would be at least 15 working days before anything was done despite your web site saying 5 working days. Needless to say I'm not at all impressed. Perhaps now it is a month since the initial report someone will action this URGENTLY!!!!!! You already have photos of the offending plant and there is a sign so it should be easy to find albeit now dead but the danger to the public still exist from this Giant Hogweed plant.

  • This is the second email by me of NON ACTION by B&NES, thanks to the weed killer applied to the plant by a concerned resident it is now dead! However the stalk still remains and I am unsure as to whether this still is a danger to the public. The plant still has the warning sign in front of it that my husband placed there opposite our property Water Row Mead Lane BS31 3EP. It is now some 62 DAYS since this was first reported and I would appreciated a call to advise what action and when you will be dealing with this. Please call on 07799 473718.
