A cluster of very old sycamore trees on Ashley Road is causing problems for 22 Garstons (and neighbours). More than half of a group of tightly packed tree trunks are now so large that the base of the trees are on my land, preventing me from erecting a fence to keep animals out and small children in. A large branch fell into my garden in Sep 18 - I reported it and asked for the trees to be checked out and potentially lopped, but received a general acknowledgement of my query and no further correspondence. I sent details of these trees in again in Feb 19 with a proposal for me to carry out works on them but received no reply. I would like to remove or lop these trees but they are council owned, therefore please could I be put in touch with someone who can discuss, agree and authorise me to carry out work, or advise any other course of action. My neighbours on both sides, plus the farm owners are all in favour of removing the trees as a tree surgeon has advised that the trees are far too big and far too close together for the short distance that they are away from houses. There are other trees in the immediate area, so loss of this group of trees should not be of detriment to the surroundings.
