Road markings say 30 in a 20 mile an hour zone
Reported in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 11:39, Monday 10 June 2019
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 1654466.
We are trying to get a community speedwatch up and running and the police have assessed the road and deemed it too confusing for us to go ahead - see response: SPEED ENFORCEMENT UNIT RISK ASSESSMENT The location was attended today by both CEO Dean Brewis 7579 and CEO Paul Stone 7999. Unfortunately, the site cannot be approved for CSW operations due to the rather poor attempts to convert the old 30mph limit to the existing 20mph limit. Approaching from Bathford Hill, having passed the 20mph gateways, there is then a pristine 30mph roundel on the carriageway surface. There are also several 30mph roundels on Court Hill that have been made to be 20mph roundels, but still look like 30's. In addition, there are no repeaters along Culverhay having passed the entry 20mph gateways before the bridge. This all culminates in what can be construed as 'confusion' and not adequate guidance
Thank you for your report, it will be reviewed by the appropriate team.
