There is significant cracking in the road surface on St James Parade, particularly southbound between Vine St and Amery Lane, which is causing excessive vibration as heavy vehicles pass over them. The vibration is causing cracking in the walls and facade of SACO House, which is Grade II listed. It is also causing significant numbers of complaints regarding both noise and vibration, with many overseas guests thinking the vibration may be from an earthquake. THe road surface needs urgent attention. It would also help if the 20 mph speed limit in St James Parade was properly signposted and enforced!
