The spinning play equipment as you can see has no rubber bungs on the ends of the metal bars which are lethal for small children

It’s not possible to add rubber bungs to this spinner; it met the design standard on installation and it was installed for older kids. The spinner passed it’s latest annual inspection.
State changed to: No further action

‘Thank you for your comments. Please be assured that the play equipment is regularly inspected by trained operatives as per Rospa guidelines. If any of the equipment was dangerous we would remove it from service. We are aware of the surface rust on the slide and the spinner is meant for older children and the manufacturer doesn’t make rubber bungs for the ends. As required, end of life equipment is replaced. This site is planned to community asset transfer to Radstock Town Council. This has been slowed by the P19 pandemic but is still the most likely outcome.’
