Overhanging trees and foliage on The Avenue, Combe Down
Reported in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 16:15, Tue 10 September 2019
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 1762937.
The trees on The Avenue are very overgrown. The branches on some hang so low they touch cars that drive past. The foliage at the base of the trees has also grown so much that it overhangs the pavement and also the road. The trees have also become really high over recent years and need a decent trim. Once the leaves start to fall it will create a terrible mess. This results in pavements becoming slippery and dangerous. A lot of elderly people attend the doctors surgery. The leaves also cause drainage issues and cover up the double yellow lines so people park illegally, which can also be dangerous near turnings and driveways

We complained about this around October/November of last year and again in August 2019! The Avenue is still covered in last autumn's leaves etc. which were never cleared and now more is covering them. To walk on the pavements is totally dangerous, mud, leaves etc.everywhere, which could cause a bad accident to an elderly person (or younger for that matter). The drains are blocking up too. Do we not have road sweepers any more - never seen it look so bad for SO LONG !!!
