Verges not appropriately cleared, leaf matters blocks drains and floods street
Reported in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 12:27, Mon 11 November 2019
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 1841057.
There is insufficient drainage down Charlcombe Lane, and where drains do exist the verges have not been maintained, leading to drains being covered and / or blocked with vegetation. In periods of heavy rain, this results in significant amounts of water pouring down the hill, flooding pavements and causing a danger to residents - especially outside schools and nurseries on this road. At times this deluge can be several meters across and also brings significant amounts of vegetation into the residential area - again causing risk of slips on soggy and decomposing items on the roads and pavements. We have lived here for over a year, and have seen no attempts by the council to resolve this issue.
