Puncture caused by pothole - Water Lane
Reported in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 08:53, Wed 29 January 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 1966818.
I’ve just had a puncture on my car caused by a pothole on water land, between Paulton and Clandown. I have attached some photos of the pot and and used my hand to illustrate the depth, it’s i 50mm deep. I have put my space save tyre in for now but I will need a new tyre.
I would like to make a claim for the damaged to my vehicle please, the car in front of me also hit the pot Hole and got a puncture.

I recently went through this pothole on forefield rise. Two days later the air in my brand new tyre had gone down significantly alerting me through the car sensor. I refilled it and it has subsequently gone down again. The impact must have done something to cause the leakage as I only purchased this and one other tyre on June 1 when I had my MOT. The hole was about 3 inches deep. I have noticed it has since been filled in, but has left me with a leaky tyre .I understand the council is responsible for maintaining the public roads and there for responsible for compensating the public when damage is caused by faults and potholes. I have more photos to confirm the extent of the hole. You will note a hubcap by the hole, I guess I wasn’t the only person affected.
Thank you for assisting me in this matter and I look forward to your response.
Sincerely, Lauren Lott 07739180877
