Deep potholes and damaged road surface near Keynsham health centre

Reported in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 09:31, Thursday 5 March 2020

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 2041515.

This stretch of road has been the worst I’ve seen it for a long time. One particular pothole has caused some damage to my bike wheel, as it was very difficult to see in the dark and filled with rainwater. I swerved to miss one patch and hit the bigger one. This caused a pinch puncture and ‘flat spot’ on my rear wheel - no longer usable!! The whole length of road from the health centre to Albert road is a hazard to all cyclists causing a lot of unexpected swerving dangerously towards the middle of the road and potentially into on coming traffic.

  • There is still problem with this road. The quick fix of just filling the holes in has had no affect. When can we expect the road to be in a drivable state again. I am reluctant to replace my tyres until this road is fixed. Many thanks
