Double yellow lines

Reported in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 11:48, Friday 6 March 2020

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 2044247.

Double yellow lines have been installed today at the end of The Avenue. There is a gap in the lines which have been installed as the workers reported the road surface was to poor. Also the lines on the left hand side alongside the railway fence which were marked with white paint and due to be done, have not been done, again as the road surface is too poor. Can you advise what will now happen? Inconsiderate parking at this end of The Avenue is causing an issue with access for residents, emergency services and refuge wagons. Mostly railway commuters and now people who work in Tesco! We have waited long enough for these lines to be installed, to be left disappointed today that they have not been completed.

  • Can you please advise when the yellow lines that were supposed to be installed will be completed. The parking at the end of The Avenue at times makes passing in a vehicle impossible. Highways notices were installed at the beginning of the year to say the position of new lines to be installed, which was a welcome relief. We have had years of concerns about access for residents due to poor parking at this end of the road, which also forms a turning circle for the whole road. We have also had concerns about access to emergency vehicles which has proved an issue in the past. Can this please noe be address asap as we have waited long enough.
