The horse trough in Chewton Keynsham was cleaned by Bathnes more than a year ago, but the cover stone was dislodged and not replaced, The trough is now badly overgrown again and needs cleaning and the cover stone replaced. It also needs to be done carefully and not with a mechanised digger as believe that this is a listed monument.

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 2063660.

The horse trough in Chewton Keynsham is a listed monument, but fills up with weeds and debris from the road and the stables opposite. Villagers do try to keep the weeds down and the trough clear but it is an uphill struggle. More than a year ago, BANES did clear the trough, but displaced the cover stone. the trough now needs clearing again and the cover stone replacing.
