The verge between the Mews and the Recreation Ground (on the Rec side) is being strimmed this morning. It is a Bank Holiday. It is intrusively noisy where we live. I have asked the worker why he is doing this today of all days, and his answer is that he is told to do this when it will inconvenience fewest people. I cannot understand why this is being done today, except to inconvenience the local people and force us to stay inside and not be out in our gardens!
