Manhole sunk - foundations need repair
Reported in the Manhole & drain cover damage category anonymously at 12:35, Fri 15 May 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2116760.
BANES - the temporary repair to the surface will not last! The foundations of this manhole have deteriorated due the the heavy traffic , the while thing is loose and will not get better with a dab of tarmac on the surface. ALL traffic leaving Bath passes this point; lorry wheels scrub across the surface as they take this corner, so anything loose just gets wiped away. Local residents are increasingly frustrated and angry about this issue.

The situation is very hard to stand. My flat is literally shaking every time a track passes over this manhole - and the traffic in this crossroad is very intese at any hour of the day. Pleas act as soon as you can and resolve the issue once for all. It will be very much appreciated from all the residents.
