Stones and tar BS31 1QD

Reported in the Potholes & road surface category by J britton at 13:32, Mon 18 May 2020

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2119865.

Stones and tar, from the road "dressing" carried out in November 2019, is still causing a problem. The debris is brought onto the pavements and then into houses, causing damage to flooring. The quality of work, particularly in Trent Grove is poor. Other areas are mediocre, apart from a 50 meter section in Chelmer grove, which looks first rate. The contractor has been pressurised into doing 2 sweeps of the road, both of which have been far below any professional. Standard. Now that the weather is getting warmer cars using the road are churning up the tar. The contractor denies all responsibility We have been sweeping the road with hand brushes but we need a professional job which can only be supplied by BANES. Excess tar also needs to be addressed.

  • I can see no publication of my latest request to clear away the stones left by the appalling "road dressing" and failed cleaning attempt by the council automotive road sweeper. Does that mean you have no intention of reparation and no intention to make contact?
