Property Damage due to Delivery Vans turning in cul-de-sac
Reported in the Railings, bollard, & post damage category anonymously at 15:13, Sat 23 May 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2126538.
In the past year, the following damage has occurred to the property at 24 Maple Grove; A) Garage door was hit by a turning delivery van (required replacing door). B) Wall was heavily damaged by a car, out of control. C) Minor wall damage to the repaired section by turning delivery van (see picture 1)
The problem of turning vehicles has been a continuing issue over many years. As can be seen in picture 2 (opposite 24 maple grove house) various attempts have been made to protect the walls (see bollards in picture 2) with mixed success.
It is suggested: 1) A sign be played at the entrance to Maple Grove banning delivery vehicles turning anywhere along the street. 2) The wall (In picture 1) to be protected by bollards similar to those in picture 2 (opposite the house)
