Tree about to fall over from Council land behind 9 Queens Parade
Reported in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 15:06, Mon 25 May 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2128357.
Last week or possibly the week before, the council removed a tree that had fallen on my stone shed from council land. They did a good job and removed it properly. However, the tree next to it (30cm away, same type of tree) is now near falling, in the high winds this past Saturday (23/5/20) the whole trunk of the tree was moving, including right down at the base of the tree, which was worrying to see as the tree trunk is between 35 and 40 cm in diameter. Could someone come and check this tree, I think it is an accident waiting to happen, especially if people or children are playing in the garden.

Tree has had an initial inspection and there were no external indications that the tree is unstable. Routine works are programmed to be carried out to the tree including pruning back from the adjacent garden. Garden refuse has been deposited by persons unknown on the council land at the base of the tree. This can be detrimental to a tree's health and inhibits inspecting the tree so needs moving also.
