Missing Chicane/kissing gate at the top of the foot path going up from Lymbrook Lane up to Foxhill

Reported in the Railings, bollard, & post damage category anonymously at 15:05, Wed 24 June 2020

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 months, 2 days, 1 hour, 45 minutes later. Council ref: 2170949.

Hi

We live at 2 Entry Hill Cottages and see many people walking up and down the footpath that runs from Lynbrook Lane and goes up to the fields near Fox Hill. There used to be a chicane/kissing gate at the top of the footpath which put off people using bicycles, motorbikes etc, but that was removed some time ago. We have been a bit concerned, especially recently with an increase in the number of people using this footpath, with many people coming down the footpath on bikes (adults and children). This is a very steep hill and there is a worry about people not being able to stop and ploughing into people walking up the hill. There are quite a few elderly residents nearby and this is a concern. Could you reinstate the chicane to slow bikes down or stop them being used altogether down this footpath?

Many thanks.
