Cyclists please dismount sign missing
Reported in the Road sign damage category anonymously at 14:49, Monday 29 June 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2177869.
Whilst walking across this bridge yesterday morning (Friday 26th June), a cyclist behind me riding his bike rang his bell wanting to cycle past me. I pointed out to him that cyclists are supposed to dismount to cross the bridge in accordance with relevant notices at each end of the bridge. He retorted that there is no notice at the train station end. There always used to be, presumably someone has removed it. The ‘CYCLISTS PLEASE DISMOUNT’ notice is still in place at the Rossiter Road end of the bridge. Would you kindly arrange for a notice to be put up again at the train station end, the bridge is not wide enough for cyclists to ride as well as pedestrians and it is dangerous when people are walking across the bridge at the same time and there were at least 2 other pedestrians on the bridge at the same time I was there.
