Raised bumps cycle lane snow hill
Reported in the Objects in the road category by Stephen Lord at 13:39, Wednesday 8 July 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2191337.
On Monday 6th July I pulled out of the garage at Snow Hill towards Bath and a lady fell into the middle of the carriageway in front of my van. She was crossing the road and tripped over one of the raised bumps that separate the cycle lane and main road. I phoned and reported this to you at the time These raised bumps are a dangerous trip hazard I thought this when they were installed and this confirms my fears It only a matter of time before someone trips into the road and are run over. In winter especially if someone thinks they can just make it across the road and not looking down they will be under the vehicle and seriously injured or killed You should do a risk assessment on these bumps . If you ask the question, could someone trip into the road over these and fall In front of on coming traffic , and the answer is yesthen they should be removed immediately. Apart from that they are a trip hazard In their own right Any cctv footage taken at around 9.20 am 6th July 2020 will show this event The lady got up and I went to her, she said she was ok but shaken It could have been a lot worse My phone number is 07834811350 My email is Stephen.firstname.lastname@example.org I would like a reply to this message to confirm you have received it and to be kept informed of any actions taken Stephen Lord
