At least six drains east of this location are completely blocked with silt causing severe flooding at this point on the map plus large hole next to this drain.
Reported in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 10:20, Thu 9 July 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2192501.
These drains have become in operable over the last four months, as one after the other became blocked due to the original being blocked and the others following in turn, leading to the whole road being flooded in heavy rain. so we now have at least six drains completely blocked in an easterly direction on Clutton Hill from this point.

I realise now that the wording I used must have misled the contractors as when I stated at least six drains east of the position I indicated on the map were blocked I assumed that if there had been more than this number they would have cleared them at the same time. But No they actually cleared three blocked and three clear ones. I will now re enter the fault for the others on fix my street. What a waste of public money.

When I first informed you of the problem I knew that there was more than six blocked but assumed that Highways would check all the drains in the location stated, and clear out all drains that needed clearing. Since the original operation I can see that there are at least another four completely blocked. By not clearing all the drains we have surface water running down the side of the road forming a gully which in turn will need to be filled with tarmac. I am sure that if the job was completed efficiently in the first place money could have been saved.

Nothing has been done since my last report, we still have at least 7 drains now blocked. Because of the drains being blocked and the heavy rain we have received recently, flooding has occurred again in this area, plus more annoying is the fact the volume of water running down the side of the road is eroding the edge of the road. Soon a deep gully will be formed as before which unfortunately will cause more expense to us Council tax payers.

Still no action except for the hole being repaired and the two drains that were cleared, one is completely blocked again because many drains further up the hill are still blocked. Certainly not the right time of the year to have water flowing on the surface of the road, especially as this is the school coach route.
