Where the Bristol and Bath cycle path crosses the river Avon between Kelston Mills and Saltford Marina there are people living and littering under the bridge, looks like a tip and dangerous. There is a boat on the hardstanding under the bridge where people live.

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2229325.

Where the Bristol and Bath cycle path crosses the river Avon between Kelston Mill marina and Saltford Marina people are squatting in a boat under the bridge, not in the water, but on the hard standing. The area under the bridge is starting to look like a tip as they hoard things. Really sad to see, and I suspect dangerous to be near. This has happened since I first visited the area 3 months ago. They still live there and are getting worse.

  • This area has now been abandoned but there is a lot of domestic/household waste left behind. This urgently needs to be cleared before the river rises and much of it ends up being washed into the river. There are many locals who would be willing to assist in this clear up and who would be willing to explore how we can assist the council. Please can this be actioned before the river and it’s wildlife are further impacted
