Wide Deep Cracks in Road Surface Outside 35&36 St James Parade
Reported in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 18:47, Thu 6 August 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2233984.
The road surface in St James Parade is badly cracked from heavy vehicles and buses causing excessive and constant vibration of SACO Aparthotel. Apart from the distress caused to our guests from the noise and vibration, here is also cracking to the decorative pillars on the front of the building. This damage has been reported previously but nothing was done. The council needs to take some immediate action to repair the street to a standard that can take the size of the vehicles constantly use it since the traffic was re-routed to allow the development of the riverbank. It is simply not acceptable to allow a listed building to crumble away because of this lack of attention to a fundamental responsibility.
