Report of Wasps Nest in manhole cover on pedestrian path: Priory Close 54-61, Bath
Reported in the Manhole & drain cover damage category anonymously at 17:17, Tue 15 September 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2296377.
Dear Council Environmental Control,
We would like to report a wasps nest, in an access manhole, on the public path on Priory Close 54-61 in Bath, half way down on the east side of the road. There is an access hatch in the pedestrian path that was swarming with wasps going in and out of the key hole in the middle of the hatch. Please see the attached picture of the access hatch and the map location (directly in front of number 60).
We observed it as we were walking passed and had to warn drivers parking up to not get out onto the path.
Not quite sure if you are the right department to report this to, if not, please forward this email to the appropriate department.
Kind Regards,
Jennifer & Simon

We have looked into this issue and found it is not the council's responsibility. The wasps nest is inside a BT cover and has been passed to BT to take action.
