This matter was detailed in the summer of 2019. The street light, which illuminates steep steps is obscured by OVERGROWTH.

Reported in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category anonymously at 13:40, Thu 17 September 2020

Councillors and a local resident took a lot of time and trouble to supply information, including photographs. Some work was done earlier in 2020 BUT not sufficient to clear the problem. Further work is required to cut back the evergreen TREE to a line behind the wire mesh fence; the opposite side of the steps also requires attention to OVERGROWN vegitation.

Updates

  • Getting worse. The steps are now in part impossible to see so it is only a matter of time before someone has a fall.

The consequences of possible fatality and subsequent corporate manslaugther charges against B&NES are avoidable if B&NES senior management did their jobs.
