Dangerous position of new field gate on blind bend on Pit Lane
Reported in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 20:26, Tue 22 September 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2307396.
A new field gate has appeared in the last few weeks just by the chicane on Pit Lane. For traffic from the north they will not see the entrance until upon it. A 5m section of hedging has been removed and the gate is situated right in the RPZ of an ancient tree. An access road has been laid from the new gate into another field field, a distance of about 80m. It is laid in hardcore.
Apart from the dangerous position of the gate and the damage to the tree’s roots, surely this activity requires planning permission.
