Road markings
Reported in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 08:19, Thu 24 September 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2309393.
I'm flagging an area of road on Holloway (Bath, BA2 4PS) that confusingly looks like parking bays, and hoping the Council can look into it, please, as it's preventing residents parking in their allotted spaces.
The lines need to be cross-hatched or painted yellow to distinguish them and anyone parking in this area made aware that it's not for parking or waiting.
The parking area is directly opposite garages/drives for the residents of 30 to 32 Calton Walk. The white lines signify No Parking, to enable residents to safely park without hazards and obstacles as the corner is an accident hotspot with bikes zipping down the hill at 50 mph.
The white painted lines at the end of the parking zone are ambiguous and about the same size as two hatchbacks. Please see attached pix of vehicles parked within the No Parking area, which happens every day, with all the Bath Unis back.
Permit-holders' parking zone (04) is clear, but only to residents of Calton and Holloway who are in the know.
We would be grateful if you could please make the restriction clearer.
Thank you.
