Overgrown Trees and Vegetation
Reported via desktop in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category anonymously at 14:39, Sun 18 October 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 weeks, 1 day, 23 hours, 16 minutes later. Council ref: 2346154.
Please refer to reports 1714810 and 2107230. On 10th October you advised that this problem had been resolved. Nothing could be further from the truth. The entire length of Unity Road, opposite McGills Warehouse, between both railway bridges is a complete eyesore. Overgrown vegetation, trees, roots, weeds and mud are now growing well into the road by about 2-3 feet, causing an obstruction to traffic in both directions and significantly reducing the width of an already very narrow road. The roadside bollards are now completely obscured by vegetation because the weight of it is pushing them over. Despite numerous requests for this to be completely cleared, we, as council tax paying residents, are getting very annoyed that nothing is being done to rectify this. Perhaps it would be better to arrange a site meeting so that this can be resolved once and for all. I would be happy to do this on behalf of my neighbours. Thank you.
We've passed this report to another team in the council. They will carry out any further work needed. Sometimes it can take a little longer as a result.
