Due to wall maintenance works the pavement has been blocked off forcing pedestrians into busy A4 Bath Rd. No pedestrian access apart from stepping into road
Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 09:13, Tue 17 November 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2391456.
Builders have had to block off pavement due to emergency wall works, however there is now no pedestrian access and people cannot get past without waiting for heavy traffic to subside and walking in the road. No disabled access at all for wheelchair users etc. Builders state they are waiting for permission from B&NES Council to erect a barrier to mark out safe access in the road. This needs to be done ASAP for H&S reasons.

They have now put scaffolding up on the pavement. There was a lorry blocking the pavement and one parked on the road so the only option was to walk in the middle of the A4. The concrete blocks for the metal fencing went up on Saturday morning, 14th Nov. before the wall 'fell down'. I believe this work was planned and not an emergency so provision should have been made for pedestrians
