No cycle lane marking in parking bay
Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 20:30, Tue 17 November 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2392911.
Brassmill Lane has a pedestrian refuge protected cycle marking into Rudmore Park. There is a corresponding cycle marking on the road at the end of Rudmore Park. However, there is a parking layby which cyclists have to cross to move from one road to the other. There are no markings in the layby to ensure that cyclists can use the designated route. There are always parked vehicles obstructing the connection. This is simple to fix with paint or a low barrier.

This route is recognised by the NHS as the cycle route to the RUH from the Bristol/bath cycle route.

I have reported this in previous years, but it has always been ignored by the council. Although this is now signposted as the official route from the Bristol - Bath cycle path to the RUH nothing has been done to rectify the problem.
